Start with whatever catches your eye — a colour, a shape, a texture or something in the landscape.

There is no set picture to copy and no right or wrong way to do it. Experiment and let the painting develop.
Take inspiration from nature
The river, trees, stones, flowers and changing light around Moinhos are all part of the experience.

Paint, chat, take a break, enjoy some snacks and see what happens.

Walk around Moinhos, look at the colours, textures and shapes around you and see what catches your attention.

Where to Find Us
Moinhos do Dão is in the countryside near Mangualde, in central Portugal, right by the Dão River.
The easiest way to find us is to use Google Maps and search for Moinhos do Dão. The last part of the journey takes you onto small rural roads, so take it slowly and don't worry if the road starts to feel a little remote — you're nearly here.
When you arrive, follow the signs for Moinhos do Dão.
