Moinhos Seasonal Experiences

Join us for 3 or 5 days and experience the rhythm of life at Moinhos do Dão.

Spend time in the garden, make something from what is growing, learn about our off-grid life, and leave enough space for the river, the woods and simply slowing down.

We will take care of the details.

A rythm, not a programm

We make a plan together when you arrive, based on the season, the weather and what is happening here. There will be things to do and learn, but there is no need to rush from one activity to the next.

Garden & harvest
Spend time where the food grows. We might sow, plant, harvest, collect herbs or make jam, chutney, pickles or something else from the season.

Life at Moinhos
Get to know the animals, the old mills, our water and energy systems, and the everyday work of looking after this place.

Make & share
Cook a vegetarian meal together, learn a practical skill, sit by the fire or simply join in with whatever needs doing that day.

Time for the place
There is always time for the river, a walk through the woods, swimming, reading, resting or doing nothing at all.
